Design Engineer / Mechanical CAD Trainee (Control Panels)
Job Description
We are hiring for the Design Department of an established panel manufacturing company in Udaipur. The candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing 2D mechanical and layout drawings for electrical control panels using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and alignment with manufacturing specifications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D fabrication drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and enclosure layouts for control panels using AutoCAD.
- Assist senior design engineers in mechanical modeling, panel detailing, and drawing revisions.
- Coordinate with the production and shop-floor fabrication teams to clarify technical drawing specifications.
- Review mechanical dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements to ensure seamless panel assembly.
- Maintain organized CAD drawing files, revisions, and design documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer with a strong academic background (throughout 1st class) and mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD. The candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills, an eye for mechanical detail, and an eagerness to build a career in control panel design.
- Mandatory hands-on working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Consistently strong academic record (throughout 1st class).
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Clear understanding of mechanical drafting principles, dimensions, and sheet metal fabrication standards.
- Based in or willing to work on-site in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
