Purchase Manager- Mining and mineral
Job Description
Min 6-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within mining, heavy industry, or energy sectors. Experience with ERP systems.Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational goals. Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and cost savings. Operational Procurement: Manage procurement of heavy machinery, mining tools, fuel, explosives, PPE, and consumables. Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid disruptions in mining operations. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams for stock replenishment. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities comply with safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
