Job Description
The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, ledgers, journals, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable. MIS and financial reporting, and assist with budgeting/forecasting across departments. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to mining operations. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor project costs and capital expenditures for exploration, development, and production phases. Track inventory of mineral resources, consumables, and equipment. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for operational departments. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with contract terms. Ensure compliance with industry-specific tax, royalty, and environmental obligations. Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies, investors, and auditors. Collaborate with operations and geology teams to align financial data with project milestones.
