Production Supervisor – Plant Operations (Chemicals / Minerals)
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day plant operations, manage manpower, and maintain shop-floor process discipline for our manufacturing facility in Morbi, Gujarat. The role focuses on executing daily production plans, optimizing machine operations, tracking material consumption, and ensuring strict adherence to workplace safety and quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production and plant operations in accordance with planned schedules and targets.
- Manage and allocate shop-floor workers and contract manpower across shifts and production lines.
- Monitor production output, product quality, and process efficiency while tracking machine performance and reporting abnormalities or breakdowns
- Ensure smooth operation and optimum utilization of plant machinery, raw materials, and manpower.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with maintenance, quality control, stores, and dispatch teams.
- Monitor raw material consumption, control production wastage, and reduce process losses.
- Maintain daily production records, shift handover logs, and operational reports using MS Excel.
- Enforce production SOPs, operational procedures, proper housekeeping, workplace discipline, and strict safety/PPE compliance.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant departments for quick resolution.

- Graduation/Diploma - B.E/B.Tech, BDS - Mechanical, Chemical, Production/Industrial
Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for a hands-on, disciplined production professional with practical plant experience in mineral processing, chemical plants, or powder manufacturing. The candidate must be comfortable managing shop-floor labor in rotational shifts, maintaining plant discipline, and ensuring seamless machine throughput.
Candidate Profile
- Practical experience in Minerals, Chemicals, Micronizing, Grinding, Pulverizing, Powder Manufacturing, or Mining industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to manage shop-floor workers and contract labor.
- Willingness to work at a plant site and handle shift-based operational duties.
- Basic working knowledge of MS Excel for daily shift reports and production tracking.
- Practical hands-on experience preferred over purely theoretical knowledge.
- Candidates belonging to Udaipur / Rajasthan preferred, where applicable.
- Immediate joiners or candidates on a short notice period will be given preference.
