CNC Programming:
Develop CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or manual G-code programming based on part drawings, 3D models, and work orders.
Create and modify tool paths to ensure efficient cutting and minimize material waste.
Optimize machine speeds, feeds, depths of cuts, and tool selection for maximum efficiency and quality.
Simulate programs to detect errors, inefficiencies, or collisions before actual production.
Machine Setup & Collaboration:
Work closely with CNC machinists to set up machines, verify tool configurations, and ensure proper machine operation.
Provide instructions to machinists for executing CNC programs, ensuring that they understand setup, tooling, and cutting strategies.
Troubleshoot any programming or machine-related issues that arise during production.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that CNC programs produce parts that meet or exceed dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements as per engineeri
